After buying my grandson 3 Shun knives (he is taking a culinary class), I decided to splurge on this set. I have never spent this kind of $$ on my own knives, but I am so happy I did. Excellent knives and great price

I'd been thinking of trying the Japanese knives and when they were on sale, I had to get them. I love these knives. The bevel is so much sharper than I'm used to with my German knives. I'm sold on them.
