My first good cutting board! Just got a new bunka knife and none of our boards were appropriate for it. First thing I noticed was the amazing smell of the wood. The size is just right for the smaller work area we have. If there was more counter space I would want the next larger size. It’s easy to handle and store. Definitely the right choice for us.

Very beautiful
Great piece of wood. It smells very nice even after you wash it. Softer wood for my knives that has behaved very well.

Keeping the fine edge sharp
It does stain with certain vegetables. And it does scar. But it protects the edge of the knife and keeps it sharp. And that is job one for a cutting board. I am glad I purchased at the same time as my Miyabi knife. My previous cutting board was bamboo.
