Pizza peel not smooth

I was excited to receive the pizza peel from EH. I have several other baking dishes and love them. Thought this would be perfect tool to go with my EM pizza stone. I was very disappointed that is does not have a nice smooth finish. As I ran my hand across it I could feel fuzzy fibers that I imagine will cause the dough to stick more because it is not nice and sleek. It is also does not have a finish coating on it. The slanted rounded edge is also not smooth and looks like it has a lot of tiny cracks in it. I expected better finishing quality from EH. I have seen other pizza peels that look beautiful, and are sleek and smooth.

Nice Complement to Pizza Stone

I've had the Emile Henry pizza stone for several years; just purchased the pizza wheel since I've been making my own crusts and it works really well for transporting the dough to the stone.
