Seasoning Oil

Does fine

The seasoning oil is easy to apply and isn’t really malodorous. However, I don’t see drastic, improved or beneficial results from this product in comparison to using grapeseed oil or Crisco. Furthermore, I don’t feel that Smithey’s seasoning oil has an added advantage over other types of seasoning fats when trying to build and keep (from flaking off) a base seasoning.

Seasoning

Added a No 6 skillet to my No 10. Today I bought a No 10 with rounded sides. I just followed seasoning instructions from you and the internet and amazed that when used properly they are non stick. I wish I knew about this sooner and would have saved my mother’s cast iron pans that would be over 100 years old today.

Seasoning oil

Love the product. I am using it for initial seasoning, then after cleaning and returning to the cupboard. Wonderful product might be nice for you to consider a larger size next planning cycle. It work that well!!!
