Suitable for my finest knives.

I have a 15° electric sharpener I use on my VG10 & X50 knives. I needed something with a smaller angle for my knives with harder steels. In the past, I have felt dual sided draw through non-electric sharpeners did more damage than good. This actually works & well! While not quite as good as stroping or a super fine diamond stone, it doesn't scratch the sides up and leaves a microscopic feathered edge that actually helps you cut tomatoes and such better than a perfectly polished edge. Excellent product!

Exceeded my Expectations

I bought this knife sharpener on line to function as an intermediate means of keeping my good Japanese knives sharp before resorting to professional sharpening. It's design is very simple and it has provided excellent sharp knives since I received it. Perhaps most importantly, it is so easy to use and results are great with a variety of my good kitchen knives.
