A local fave

The original shop was my go-to coffee spot when I worked at Con Ed back in the aughts. I’ve been making a flavorful yet mellow morning brew with a hint of wake-me-up acidity with this coffee. 500ml New York City tap water, 31.3g coffee (16:1 ratio) ground to medium coarseness. I use a Hario Swich brewer so I can use both drip and immersion modes—80ml drip for the bloom, 3 repetitions of 110ml immersion for a minute then drain, final 90ml drip. Takes around 6 minutes to brew. For more acidity, replace a round of immersions with a drip.

Trade coffee

I look forward to getting a new bag of Trade coffee each month. My favorite time of day is early morning, sitting on our glassed-in porch, enjoying a cup of delicious coffee from Trade!!
