Varia VS4 Grinder

Wow what can I say all my research and YouTube videos gravitated me to the Vs4 I understand I’ve only used it a few times but it has been phenomenal I can honestly say I have not found any quirks day one it took 2 pulls to dial in my grind dead nuts first pull choked completely at 5.0 second pull at 7.0 grind size 18 in 37 out in 30 seconds I did rdt wdt and tamp I ran it at 150 rpm and ramped it to 300 rpm for bellows and purge and 3 taps on chute with heavy wooden brush handle I had darn near 0 retention bellows works wonderfully grounds were nice and uniform and fluffy 🤩 shot tasted delicious nice and chocolatey I’m using a 80/20 medium dark Nicolletti Napoli roast I can only see shots get better as burrs get seasoned the grinder it self is very impressive and fit and finish is top notch I’m most definitely a very satisfied first time use cup thanks WLL for very fast shipping I’m in California order was placed on Friday received it following Thursday morning 5 stars 🤩 rating for overall quality user experience and customer satisfaction

Very Good Grinder

Based on what I've seen online, I am giving this grinder an opportunity to replace my Niche grinder because of its different speeds and near-zero retention. So far, the hopper has clogged maybe 20% of the time I've used it, which left less than a full shot ground until I realized it on my next usage of the grinder. Of course, it's caused me to change my behavior and look at the hopper every time now. All in all, it seems to do a very good job of grinding. I've only used the slowest speed of 150. I do like the auto shutoff function, and I do like the idea that I could add beans to the hopper more slowly if I wanted to, which I cannot do in my Niche.

Minimal retention

This grinder has one of the characteristics that I was looking for in other grinders, the retention is minimal. I can enjoy more of my coffee because it doesn't stay trapped inside. The grinder process is fast and it can be adjusted easily.
