AB-3000 2.0 FID Adjustable Weight Bench

It’s a great bench that’s nearly perfect. I love the adjustability and versatility. My complaints are minor. First, the REP logo next to the handle to move the bench is too close. The logo puts pressure on the back of my hand and wrist when I have to move the bench. Since the bench weighs a ton, it’s not a great feeling. The other complaint is that the bench doesn’t stand up well. It stands, but easily falls over or leans too far forward or back to be stable. If you don’t need to move the bench much, neither of these are an issue. If you’ve got a small space and need to move your bench often, these are a pain.

Everything I wanted and more

This bench does the basics exceedingly well. It has numerous back and seat angles, adjustable leg rollers, and firm yet comfortable pads. It feels rock-solid stable in every position I've tried, which is exactly what I'd expect from a bench with a nameplate weight capacity of 1000 lbs. But beyond the basics, it's the little details that speak to this bench's thoughtful design, such as the easy-to-clean vinyl, the dual-pin system for the leg rollers (watch REP's overview video for an explanation), the laser-cut angle numbers, and the noise dampeners on the ladder system. The REP engineers really outdid themselves with this one. There are only two aspects of this bench that are worth calling out as potential flaws. The first is the lack of "official" vertical storage. I put "official" in quotes because many AB-3000 2.0 owners do in fact store the bench vertically, but to me it feels a little precarious in that position. If vertical storage is a must-have for you, I'd recommend watching some Youtube videos showing the bench stored vertically to decide if you'd feel comfortable doing the same. The other potential flaw is the pad gap, which measures 2.1", slightly larger than that of the AB-3100 (1.7") or the Nighthawk (1.57"). I personally never even notice the pad gap, but I mention it here for the sake of completeness. For my needs and preferences, this is a 10/10 bench. I couldn't be happier with it.
