Love the idea, definitely works on my grip in a novel way. Good diameter for a middle of the road challenge. Why I am docking 2 stars: 1) the end of the rope is loosley wrapped in gooey black electrical tape. Not heat shrink tubing. I spent $5 and 10min to apply my own. These ropes aren't exactly cheap, and this corner seems like a huge oversight to cut. 2) Turns out when you are climbing rope, you tend to look up and this jute rope flakes a lot of fibers into my eyes. I have since taken them outside and beat them on the ground but it hasn't helped much. Probably better to stick with the nylon version.
With all that said, I'll probably order some of synthetic black ones. These flaws aren't deal killers for me, just not the quality I was expecting.

Black dragon rope review
Hi I have been using the 50mm (2") / 200cm (80") / Black Dacron rope for a few weeks now. I have been really enjoying the workout with the rope, it’s a good change in my routine. The rope itself is very well constructed and seems like it will be very durable. The rope has also inspired my 6 year old son to workout with me. Wanting to be strong like dad.

Great Texture for Grip
These are fantastic for full range of shoulder motion. I had originally purchased ropes from Monkee Grips, but they turned out to be quite short and a bit thin. The ropes from Kensui are thicker and more analogous to fat grips. Length is good to allow variety of hand placements. Unlocks an entirely new world of pull ups. I was honestly pleased to be able to knock out even 3 reps. Very portable too if you need to travel and can easily be used in a hotel gym. I do wish these were sold as a pair, but overall very happy with them!
