Need work

OK and get job done but for the price they should be flawless. These scratch my blue rack because there’s a plastic burr on the back of the panel that scratches the rack. Also doesn’t sit flush against the rack. There’s a slight gap due to the leaning of the cup when the barbell is on it. That exacerbates the scratching. It’s OK and obviously does its job just I’d expect it to be machined to a premium level for price.

Not machined accurately

These clips tilt forward when loaded causing the pegs and cup backing to scrape the coating off the rack. I caught it a few days ago so now I’ll be a bit careful. The inner blue coating is coming off. There’s also some left over burr from the molding on the backing od the cup that supposed to sit flush against the rails. When you rotate the cup to take off and put on the burr scrapes the coating. I already have marks. I get it, it’s a gym and won’t be perfect and will get scrapes. I agree. But it would be nice if that wear and tear were due to my own activities and not a “flaw” with the design. I give these 3 stars for that.

It’s all you need

I actually had a $400+ order in with another company for some J roller cups and ended up canceling those because I had buyers remorse and ended up just getting a pair of these very basic J cups from REP. Let me tell you something, that was such a good decision because as soon as I got these in, I could tell that they were great quality and have been holding up to rigorous training and abuse from my barbells with zero issues. These actually changed my perspective going forward on spending extra dollars for high-end J cups. Couldn’t be happier with these.
