The ordering experience was good as always. I have the strings, but I have not put them on my violin yet. The current strings are still good. The next string change I will be putting the PI's on.

In my experience, the goal with string selection is to find the set that is optimal for a) what you are aiming to do musically, and b) enhancing/moderating the specific characteristics of the instrument you are playing. The PI strings, now a month old, are very good for a) the focused Irish trad fiddle sound I want, and b) making a strong sounding fiddle brighter and sweeter.
