Best E string I've ever used
If my bow is in the right place and my fingers aren't interfering, I have no whirring/whistling sounds from this E string. It gives a warmer tone and projects better on my violin than any other string I have tried.

Good string
I tried both the tin and platinum-plated versions. The tin is definitely worth it. It has great response time, clear and bright tones, and does project very loudly. Plus, for the $7 price, it's up there with some $15+ dollar e-strings. The platinum version, though I wouldn't buy it again; personally, on my instrument, I didn't hear much of a difference besides the tin-plated string other than it being a little more metallic and clear. I let them settle in for about a month, and the string didn't really mellow out much. I personally much prefer Pirastro's platinum-plated Evah Prazzi Green e-string. It has more warmth and depth than Thomastik's version, plus it is cheaper and easier on my fingers. Both were still great strings and weren't anywhere near disappointing; I just wouldn't justify the price for the platinum version.
