Thomastik Infeld Red Violin String Set

Excellent tone

These are my favorite strings, I keep on all my instruments.

For the most part I like the Thomastik Infeld Red Violin String Set

The strings are really nice. They are very soft to the fingers. They settled in really quick. These are easy to play on. The only issue I have is that I am not a fan of the “E” string. Since this is preference and instrument dependent, this does not knock the set down from a five star review. It is just a preference call. The strings are great, settled down quickly, hold their tune beautifully, and are easy to finger and play. If the E string was not an issue, I would say I would buy them again. I tend to stick to complete sets, not mix and match. Playing status: Self-teaching Student, with a long way to go Violin: 1847(?) Professional level violin, not student Violin tone: Has an open warm leaning sound when played by a professional. I hope this is helpful.
