Green Label Evan viola strings in 15 1/2" Fiddlerman Soloist Viola
I purchase these around 3/27/2023, and just installed them today, installed 1/16/2024. I know, I held onto them a while. I had loved green label Evahs on a cello that I used to have and decided to install them on my viola. I am very happy that I did. These strings have given my wonderful Fiddlerman Soloist viola so much more sound, and the sound is so much fuller. My A and C strings have a wonderful full sound, as do the G and D strings. The sound comes out so easily when bowing. I know they say the green labels give a bright sound, and gold a warmer sound, but I find the green label Evahs have always made the instrument sound warmer. I prefer a warm sound over bright. The viola just has so much more sound, it is fuller, warmer to my ears, and sounds like a completely different instrument, to me. I am very happy with them on my 15 1/5" Soloist Viola. I wonder if the gold label Evahs, which are supposed to be warmer, will even make it warmer? I might purchase those to have on hand for backup, for comparison. I have only purchased the lovely sounding green label Evahs. My playing level, for reference for string use: I am a senior citizen student if violin/viola/cello. I am self learning, with the help of the Fiddlerman's Fiddle Talk forum and Violaman Forum. I highly recommend these forums.

Excellent quality of strings, sounding FAR better than the Gold level strings...

Love Evah greens
Easy purchase. Thanks! These strings make my throaty instrument sound much cleaner and clearer. Love them on my viola.
