These strings sound great, especially on an older instrument, where they really make the wood sing. They bring a sweet tone that's lovely. But where they really stand out are stability and longevity. They stretch almost instantly after putting them on, you could replace one in a concert and barely need to retune. And where I was previously replacing Dominants about every 8 weeks, these lasted 5 1/2 months- nearly 3 times as long. Since they don't cost 3x as much, this is actually a good value for a high quality string set!
