SAS Original Violin/Viola Chinrest

Amazing chinrest. Looks great when mounted center on the violin or viola. I recomend getting either the 32 or 35 mm options when seeking an elevated chinrest. To give you an idea, the 32 mm chinrest is roughly the same height as the end of the fingerboard on a 4/4 violin. The only complaint I have is the mount part that goes on the side of the instrument is plastic and has a little part that can scratch your neck but it wears and smoothes diwb very quickly. Overall, a great product. However, delivery can be slow.

It seems of very good quality, but just not for me. It felt uncomfortable under my chin. I feel kind of annoyed i spent $50 on this but ended up not using it at all. You may love it or might not.

This is the second chin restof this brand I got, for my second instrument. I love the fit and the aesthetics of it. However, my first chin rest, which I bought from a different retailer, is gold-plated. The gold finish has worn off after several years of use and now I get skin irritation on my neck, where the hardware touches it, so I have to use a cloth to cover it. I hope this one doesn't have same issue since it's pained.
