Refined, but they wear down easily (I think)
The level of design in the speed ropes is really noticeable. Perhaps it’s because of their additional speed and weight, but I found visible grooves on the ropes after just one or two 40 min sessions on smooth laminate flooring. I could be wrong but I’m not sure how these ropes could last anywhere as near as long as my standard 1/4lb and 1/2lb ropes from before, which lasted 6-12 months of very heavy use. If I turn out to be incorrect I will apologise and will happily amend the review - it’s incredible how much faster and more challenging these ropes are, and the way that they match with the handles. Amazing design in general - just not sure about their longevity.

Best ever
Crossrope jump ropes are terribly expensive. But...they are by far the best ropes I have ever used. I have at least 30 jump ropes from beaded to wire, from PVC to thick rubber from fat rope to weighted cloth covered something or other. The secret is in the very comfortable and properly weighted handles with the snot on a rock swivel that spins so freely it seems to defy the physics of friction. The heavy ropes are heavy and the fat ropes nearly set the air on fire. If you complain about the cost of a Bugatti...maybe you shouldn't have one. A Crossrope doesn't cost THAT much, but it if you balk at the price, you are missing out on the very best jump rope that exists.

Speed ropes
Good assortment of weights for speed. Especially when you go from extra heavy 1 lb to lighter 6 or 9 oz. Almost hit 100 DU’s in a row
