The mechanism doesn't rotate properly on either side and wraps around itself. There must be a fault inside the mechanism, as it grinds at certain points rather than glides, even when moved gently by hand. This causes the rope to wind itself up the handle while you are trying to skip. Naturally, not the usual quality I would expect from this brand as every item I have ever used before has been top quality. Would not buy this rope again as it isn't usable.
