Perfect in every way
I absolutely love this coat. I was a bit unsure about sewing it in a heavyweight wool/cashmere coating because the pattern did not suggest heavyweight wool as an option (390gsm), but it turned out exactly how I hoped it would.
I did eliminate the belt and the buttons to keep the silhouette clean. Instead, I decided to use a leather belt to close up the coat. I sewed this in the XS (I'm a size AUS6/UK6 on top and AUS8/UK8 on bottom). It fits my shoulders perfectly. The front pieces could also be overlapped with ease (I'm a B cup).
I made the lined version and the instructions to fit the lining are the best I have come across. My lining fit perfectly first-time around - no unpicking! I made the in-seam pockets out of the lining fabric but also reinforced the opening of the pocket lining with the main fabric.
The only adjustment I made to the pattern was to the sleeves. TAL patterns are generally too long in the arm for me, plus I wanted the sleeve to finish above my wrist so I took 5cm out.
This was a pleasurable make, and I will definitely be making another one in a different fabric.

Love the pattern
I was looking for a pattern for a light coat. The pattern is quick and easy to sew. It is well explained. I sew M without changes, the seat is very good. I sewed it out of double gauze and used tencel as a lining. I love the coat and will sew it again.
