A real regular fit trouser!

The pattern is very good, not very difficult. The trouser fits really “regular” not to small and not too baggy/wide. I like the zipper on the side. Nice to wear it with a blouse…. I will make more ‘regular’ trousers!

Great, basic trousers having many possibilities

I decided to first stick to the TAL pattern. However, differently to the original sources, I designed slightly curved waist parts and spplied a normal zipper. The fabric I used is a solid denim, I had in stock. For this reason I opted for a more sturdy closure solution. I created a XS-S pattern. Waist line between XS and S, gradually to XS of hip and legs. Just for sure I added extra seam allowance (0,5 cm), because I didn't make a toile in advance. Used biais band for some finishing inside the trousers. Really loved the process and the results. Because the upper part of the trousers fitting the body curves, the trousers are great for wearing layers above it. Lots of basic trousers patterns use elastic and gathered back and front waist parts. This TAL pattern (again) is sophisticated and beautifully designed. Even in denim the trousers turned out great for a party or working outfit. I am really curious how the results will become with winter fabrics like wool mixures. I didn't encountered problems while sewing the pattern parts. The TAL instructions were clear and detailed enough.
