Janna here (not John ☺️) Highly recommend the Pietra Shorts - I made them in a big hurry for an outdoor event from a medium weight linen. Very clear instructions and the fit is great. Highly recommend this pattern and I’m making plans to try the pants version soon.

Clear and versatile pattern

I made a summer short using this pattern and really liked how clear the instructions are. The result is casual thanks to the elastic band but very chic in the front. Totally recommend it !

A lovely surprise

It took me a while to find the space to sew up the Pietra pants but when I did I sewed two pairs in a row and will definitely be making more. I love the look and feel of them on me. The instructions were clear, helpful and held my hand nicely especially when working on the pockets. I did need to shorten the elastic just a half inch to suit my figure but that was the only adjustment I made. I used Japanese cotton fabric for both and sewed a size 10.
