ASYMMETRIC MIDI SKIRT PATTERN

A deeply satisfying sew!

I'm not normally a skirty person but wanted to try something different and have a go at sewing a lining. This seemed to fit the bill. I don't think I've ever enjoyed sewing something so much: loved piecing together all the bits, all that folding and pressing and not a piece of stretchy elastic in sight. It all came together beautifully and i"m enjoying wearing it . The only slight issue I had was that the diagrams and the instructions seem to be on different sides of the paper, so I had to keep flipping backwards and forwards. Otherwise, the perfect TAL sew. And I got to use my lovely traffic jam fabric.

I loved this skirt pattern. I made the lined version out of wool and added the pocket. I learned how to miter the edge of the lined front piece. The two pieces overlap nicely in front so there is no problem with opening too much while sitting or in windy weather.
