As usual, TAL patterns are excellent. Beautiful drafting, great instructions. The garment itself is beautiful- minimal lines, so classic.

Why haven't I sewn this shirt before now!
I loved the process of making this shirt and it came together really well with clear instructions. I decided to make the medium even though my measurements put me in large. It fits me perfect, not to baggy which I like. I am planning to make another ( a little more understated than this one!)

Turned out great
Adding to previous review (with pictures)…I have now sewn this with fashion fabric and I really like it! Really appreciate the pockets. I used a beautiful cotton shirting fabric with a satin finish. Changes made to instructions: used different yoke sewing method and made a continuous bound sleeve placket instead of the turned under placket. Also switched to a cut on front placket because I couldn’t get the mitered placket right.
I wish the top and under collars were differentiated in size. It’s easy to do, but obviously much easier if the pattern came with it.
For the curved tiny hem, I serged first with left needle, turned the serged edge, edgestitched along fold, turned again, and edgestitched to finish. No wrestling with the curves!
This is a simple shirt pattern and a good entry for beginning shirt making. Even for someone more experienced, I love the simplicity and the elegant result.
