12-Inch Cast Iron Skillet

Just plain wow

I purchased the Stargazer 12 inch as well as the 10.5 inch. I've been using my Lodge 12 inch for several years now and it has served me well but I wanted to see what the hype was with the higher priced iron cookware with the machined smooth surfaces and different handles. I must say I am very well pleased with Stargazer quality and I am a believer in the the craftsmanship that they put into their product. The seasoning right out of the box is ready for almost anything. First cook was cornbread that literally slid out of the skillet. I have since done lots of breakfast foods like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage gravy and everything has turned out like this skillet is generations old with lots of seasoning built up over the years. The long and uniquely shaped handle makes the pan feel lighter than it actually is, (not that it's heavy compared to my lodge). The handle is very comfortable in the hand and it really does stay cooler on the longer stove top cooks than the short handles that most of the competition is equipped with. The rolled lip on the Stargazer works so well at pouring that you really won't miss the pour spouts like you might think. Something that I was concerned about but turned out to not be a concern at all. I definitely and happy with my purchase and will be looking forward to more Stargazer products coming out in the future.

very nice pan

The finish is excellent. The ergonometric of this pan are vastly superior to the more standard and lower-cost options. The weight is manageable and the handle stays cool and is long enough to manipulate the pan with ease. Highly recommend it.

Very impressed with the 12” pan I purchased, so much so that I bought my son the 10”. No break in, wonderful to cook with.
