I have the salt shaker and it’s great. The xl pepper is bigger but feels that little extra special. Bigger handle height and weight make a difference with the same strong mill

excellent pepper mill / canon- the XL is purfeft unless you hace small hands or nor mucn strength- to get the initial turn it can be a spec firm because of all the corns in the grinder - its perfect also for a tiny dusting of pepper, just a 1/8-1/4 turn is all you need at times for eggs ect- so it excels in very small does or the mega dose when needed - Im so glad I got the XL ams not the standard - the XL is a nice size and not overly large at all -
