Great but one part is frivolous

I like the product, but the rubber o-ring used to seal the top is essentially worthless. It falls off easily and adds no value. I discarded it for this reason and just use the lid as is, without the seal. Otherwise, it is handy since it is larger than the sourdough containers I've used in the past and fits nicely in the dough warmer from Brod and Taylor.

Nice size jar

FInally, I have a nice size jar for my starter. I have used several different sizes of Ball jars that I was never very content with. This jar is just right for me. The black band that came with the jar, for me, does not stay on the jar when you place it on the lower part. I went back to using a regular rubber band. The scraper feels good in your hand and easy to use.

Starter jar

The jar is nice but way too big for the amount of starter I keep in my starter home. I am using it for my levain on the day I make bread. The rubber band is useless, it does not stay put. I would love a version half the size for daily use with my starter.
