Game changer

Had an opportunity to add this to our cottage and it was fantastic for dinner with everybody. I used strips of maple for firewood. Temperature was fantastic. Recovery time was great and the pizza was delicious.

Good but Gen 2 I would go with after experiences

While we like it, it is very hard to maintain temperature. I'm glad Gen 2 has a thermometer, it was badly needed. We've found that wood pellets get it hot, but it goes through them quickly. Lump charcoal works, but intense heat it lacks. My advice is wait until smoke passes or you get a bitter tasting pizza.

This is a wonderful piece of equipment. Well conceived, designed and built. I was amazed at how quickly it got to temperature and how little wood it consumed. A lot of fun to use.
