Colonnade

Wowsers!

Im very critical of coffees. There is no perfect bean but this coffee came close. Great nose, lovely bouquet, and great flavor depending on how strong you like your coffee. Medium roast, clean beans. I recommend the pour over approach to draw out the best these beans have to offer.

Through Trade we have brewed coffee from multiple roasters, and Colonnade is a favorite. We enjoy its smooth, full-bodied goodness in our morning cup.

Delicious but Dark

This coffee was excellent as a dark, classic coffee. Used as an espresso, I needed to mix in some milk to make it really drinkable as otherwise the Brazil beans came through a bit too smoky. In the Aeropress (or I imagine similar with a French press), it was especially good for chilly start-of-fall mornings when I dialed back the ratio a bit. Very classic, very delicious, but dark.
