REP® x PÉPIN™ FAST Series™ Adjustable Dumbbell Add-On Weight

I really wanted to like these dumbbells, but I have to issue a strong warning that all the things you hear about sticking are 100% accurate. They work until they don’t and for me that was in the first 10 minutes. I’ve spent more time adjusting the cradle and unsticking the plates than I have spent working out with these. I have tried everything (more play in the spacing, tighter spacing, etc), but the reality is these dumbbells are an ambitious product that try to “have it all” - compact footprint, high capacity and durability. Unfortunately the design causes them to fall short of usability and I think 99% of athletes would be better served with one of the numerous brands that are lower capacity but much more reliable. Lots of $$$ to spend for a product that will likely give you a lot of grief over time.

If I’m being completely honest, I think the price is slightly a bit steep but these dumbbells really are perfect! The ease of use, switching between weights, not to mention the sleekness and the cool factor. I genuinely thought I wasn’t gonna be a fan of the side “cages” that didn’t look or feel like a traditional dumbbell but NOPE! It genuinely doesn’t come in to play and actually provides a nice solid two hand support for 1 dumbbell when doing split squats etc. As I said before the price range (the dumbbells & the stand) were a bit out of my budget but I decided to treat as well as invest in myself and with that in mind, it makes these well worth it. (Also, on a side-note…their customer service is direct and impeccable)

Finicky but durable Is the best way I can describe these dumbbells. Awesome that they go up to 125lb and are extremely durable and comfortable in hand. The issue I have is adjusting them can be irritating at times and really have to force it. Another issue is that when I go to re rack sometimes they get hung up. Overall decent product.
