Droplet: Smart Home Water Sensor

Very cool product On the very first day I noticed four things..... It detected a 0.34 gallon usage about every 42 minutes. I figure it had to be one of my toilets randomly running and it was, I found a bad flapper gasket. That doesn't sound like a lot but that's 11.6 gallons a day or 349 gallons a month wasted. I also noticed my outdoor timers for our garden and flowers is using about 130 gallons everyday. The sprinklers flow 7.5 gallons per minute where my drip irrigation only flows 2 gallons per minute. I'll definitely be making some adjustments. The oldest toilet in the house uses almost 2 gallons per flush where the newer ones only 0.7 gallons per flush. Luckily that toilet doesn't get used very often anyways. And finally the amount of water used in a shower, my wife uses about 2.5 times more than I do LOL.....but my hair is quite a bit shorter. I turned one of my faucets on to a slow drip and it picked up 0.01 gallons per minute. Pretty impressive.

Unable to make Droplet work. It was installed on the main water line. I followed directions from support ( they have no number to call for help and only support by email ) they randomly respond to emails and tell me to try the same troubleshooting they asked me to try last week when they actually were responding . Now they are not responding since I’ve requested a refund. NOT RECOMMENDED

So far this is a good unit.Installed in minutes .Test run it and amazing how much water you can waste.Kinda nice to keep and eye on usage just to try to trim the Water bill.
