MSR-2 mmWave Multisensor (LD2410B)

easy setup, great performance

I bought a few of these and set them up, connected to my Home Assistant using ESPHome. It auto-discovered them, making it incredibly easy to set up and start triggering automations. By the way, Claude easily swapped out my old infrared sensor for the Apollo sensor in under a minute. There was no heavy legwork from an automation standpoint. Five stars for me!

I'm using this device as an occupancy sensor for a basement. Right out of the box the device started up and I was able to connect using the OTA / hotspot and then followed the steps to connect to ESPhome builder. I would recommend the product for anyone who uses ESPhome and needs a nicely priced occupancy sensor.

Fast setup easy to dial in

After messing around with a Tuya presence sensor for days trying to get it all working, I gave up and tried the Apollo MSR2. Glad I did! Set up is a breeze and dialing in the settings is super easy. I was up and running in 10 min. A black housing option would be nice if possible or even making the .stl file available to print your own color would be a great option.
