Works as advertised, including sensitivity, resolution, and frame rate. Useful tool to have for large objects. Note this unit does not have a macro lens and is unsuitable for most small electronics.

Good tool for projects

The P1 is a good budget conscious thermal camera. Perfect for projects around the house or jobsite. I had a small issue and it was resolved thru email customer support.

Terrific for the price, but the software leaves much to be desired. If you disconnect the device at the wrong time (for example when the phone is locked) you need to kill and restart the software to get it recognized again. There is no absolute temperature colour scale, it gives deep blue to the coldest point on the image. So if you had 5c difference before, and now after insulation you have 1c,the visuals are the same. Still, for the price, its great. The hardware is very good.
