Well designed kit
The Moxon Vise kit was well designed. After watching the YouTube video, I was able to quickly build a moxon vise that works perfectly in my shop. The quality of materials, especially the handle nobs and springs make this product work flawlessly.

Good vise, good kit
I've been a traditional blacksmith and woodworker for over thirty years. I generally build my own tools, benches and fixtures. My studio includes saw mill, machine shop, blacksmith shop, woodshop, tin shop, leather shop etc....
I have recently started an architecture and construction program at a small public school where I teach traditional wood and metal work.
This means that my time is limited, and I won't make all the tools for/with the students. For the first time in my career I find myself buying from others and I've been thrilled to find independent artisans such as Rob.
The kit arrived in a timely fashion and having the additional pieces sourced and included were a much appreciated time savings. Set up was fast and easy. I was able to have young children with nothing but spade bits and a brace put together a great vise with minimal instruction using construction lumber. The best part for me is that when they inevitably trash the jaws we can easily replace them.
We made elongated holes in the chop which allows it to accommodate wide tapers as well.
For 20 minutes of time we've got a great vise that has already helped to build several boxes a vanity, a joint stool, and a golf club! The long screws are fantastic as we work with a variety of thicknesses.
