What a pleasure…

I have had some Sorby chisels for, well, decades. They always seemed adequate. That is, until I started buying Rob's chisels. I think I started with a half-blind dovetail chisel, and I just loved how it felt in the hand and how well it did the job. (My old skew chisels were passed along to a friend.) I bought a few mortise chisels as I needed them, and felt the same way about them. I recently splurged on a set of four bench chisels. What a difference! I have re-ground my Sorby chisels to 17° for the (rare) softwood work that I do.
