Rob Cosman's IBC Mortise Chisel: 1/2 inch

Right tool for the job!

Rob’s IBC chisels are awesome. The 1/2” mortise chisel made quick work of these twins, 1 1/8” deep and about 3” long. Being square helped me maintain plumb while ensuring clean side walls. I really dig the removable handle for flattening the back. Excellent quality!

Great Chisel

1/2” Mortise Chisel

After honing the edges and going through the grits the chisel slices cherry wood quite well. My project called for 3.5” long 3/4” deep mortises. The tool worked flawlessly, as long I held it against my guide fence. Looks very nice also, great job Rob!
