Expensive? Maybe but it’s worth it. Feels great in the hand and the design (cap connected through the handle to the blade) feels solid when striking. These will last a lifetime and be ready for the next generation.

I have been buying individual premium chisels to determine where I want to invest for a full set for my wife. I’ve not been impressed by the Blue Spruce and the Lie-Nielsen has been probably been the benchmark. I think my search is over. I’ve bought the IBC plane blade and was impressed by the quality of the steel; so I’m not shocked that the chisel is fantastic as well. While I know the design is such that you can turn your own handles, not everyone has that capability. Since some of the Cosman saws have offerings for different sized hands, maybe an option on chisel handle sizes would be beneficial and lucrative. I will probably buy my wife a set of these chisels but will also probably have to find someone to make smaller handles for her.
