Without Reservation, A Superb Piece of Work

I made my own full size shooting board many years ago, so I surprised myself when I decided to order this mini board pre-made. I have purchased a number of products from Rob Cosman, and have always been impressed with the quality of design and construction. When I saw the video about the mini board I thought, that's a great idea. And that's where the idea languished. I finally realized that there are many good ideas in my life that have never transformed into me building something. I figured that Rob's reputation was enough to give me confidence in buying his hand made shooting board. Boy am I glad. This is top quality in materials and outstanding precision in assembly. Everything is dead-on square, and works wonderfully with all of my block planes. It is an amazingly handy thing to have, and Rob's board is perfect in all details.

Almost too nice

The fit and especially the finish make this "jig or tool accessory" more like a piece of fine furniture than a shop item. It's beautiful. Testing it shows that it works very well and that my block plane needs some TLC ala Rob's plane methods. Thanks Rob!
