CF64V Pleasant Experience
Arrived right on time. This is an excellent grinder that makes wonderful espresso. Not noisy at all and very minute retention. Perfectly aligned burrs. I wish the switches were on the front but that is a small complaint. And the company is a pleasure to deal with!

Eh,,, go buy a DF64 II instead.
I wasnt too impressed with the CF64v - I only bought it for my SO because the black DF64 II was out of stock. Wish I would have just went with the white DF64 II and not the CF64v. First off, too much going on. Both RPM and grind size? Sometimes simpler is better. If you have conflicting settings (how do you even know??) The first time we used it, the grinder seized up and we had to watch a Youtube video on how to take it apart and reset the burs. That made me feel like I gave me SO a grinder that would be nothing but problems and I really regret not getting my SO the DF64 II which has been amazing for me. Secondly, The CF64v is the same price as the DF64 II but it feels and sounds like it was made much much cheaper - the build quality is much poorer compared to the DF64 II - lots of plastic on the CF64v compared to the DF64 II which just feels solid like a brick. Feels like the CF64v could break at any moment. I bought the CF64v thinking since it was a little pricier, it would be better and my SO would love it more than my DF64 II but I cant see how thats possible when I compare the two so the CF64 being more expensive with the addons is absurd in my opinion. Third, without the dosing/funnel kit, its really difficult to pour in all your beans in one go. Even with the funnel we have to slowly pour the beans in to avoid the machine getting clogged or burs stuck and have to take the whole grinder apart to reset again. I actually cant believe people buy this model and are cool with that and have such great reviews for it. With the DF64 II, I can load in however many beans before I start the grind and have zero problems. Never clogged or jammed or had to take it apart. But yea I paid more for the model that jams and clogs and needs extra attention. Please will you exchange my CF64v for a Black DF64 II?

Exceptional Performance, Zero Retention, and Incredible Value — A Standout Single-Dose Grinder
After spending time with the CF64V, I can confidently say this is a 5-star grinder that prioritizes performance and usability over hype. From day one, the most impressive aspect has been **zero retention**. I mean truly zero retention — consistent in, consistent out. That alone puts this grinder in a different league, and it’s something I continue to appreciate every single day. Grind adjustment is straightforward and intuitive, making it very easy to dial in espresso. The DLC-coated burrs produce excellent results in the cup, delivering clean, balanced, and repeatable shots. Burr alignment was perfect straight out of the factory, with no need for shimming or tinkering, which speaks volumes about the build quality and QC. Cleaning and maintenance are another big win. Compared to the Timemore 064s, the CF64V is significantly easier to disassemble and clean. Everything feels well thought out and practical, rather than complicated for the sake of design. The only minor maintenance task is cleaning the ion generator in the chute every 3–5 days using the included brush — it takes less than 10 seconds and is absolutely not a deal breaker, especially when the payoff is, once again, **zero retention**. Before regular use, I seasoned the burrs with about 3 kg of old and low-quality beans. While I’m not entirely sure this is strictly necessary, I chose to do it to ensure consistent grind output from the start, and the results have been excellent. I see the CF64V as a direct competitor to the Timemore 064s. Having watched many reviews and comparisons, I feel the Timemore is surrounded by a lot of hype, especially considering its current ~$600 price point after early-bird pricing ended. From what I’ve seen, even basic cleaning on the Timemore looks like a real hassle. In contrast, the CF64V focuses on function and practicality — exactly what I value in a daily-use grinder. The design of the CF64V won’t be for everyone, and I understand that critique. Personally, I see that as a plus. I don’t want what everyone else has, and I appreciate a grinder that stands apart visually while delivering where it truly matters: performance. Many reviews seem overly focused on aesthetics rather than results, and this grinder proves that function should come first. On the technical side, the CF64V’s 400W motor (compared to the Timemore’s 150W) provides plenty of power. I typically grind at 1100 RPM, and even at that speed the grinder is impressively quiet. I use RDT with a light spritz, but honestly, I’ve noticed very little difference with or without it — static is already extremely well controlled, with zero grounds sticking to the grinder body. Ground coffee comes out fluffy with almost no clumping. I still do puck prep out of habit, which helps with even extraction, but the grind quality itself is excellent. Finally, I have to mention value. I was fortunate enough to purchase the CF64V during MiiCoffee’s Thanksgiving sale for $349 shipped, which is an unbelievable deal for what this grinder offers. Shipping was fast, packaging was solid, and the grinder arrived in perfect condition. MiiCoffee’s customer support was also outstanding — they helped me switch my order from a DF54 to the CF64V seamlessly when I noticed the sale. Overall, I’m extremely glad I chose the CF64V. It delivers **zero retention**, excellent espresso, easy maintenance, and outstanding value. I’ll absolutely do business with MiiCoffee again in the future, and I couldn’t be happier with this grinder.
