Special shout out to MiiCoffee Support- The DF83V is 5 stars across the board.
I've recently gone through a few grinders but was not happy, or felt that they justified the price, until I landed on the DF83V. First I was using a Shardor system off of Amazon, and honestly, it wasn't bad. It just couldn't get fine enough for some of the beans I wanted to use. Ended up with the highly reviewed Timemore 078S and boy is that thing overrated and WAY over-priced. Not going to go into the specifics, but for the same price (roughly), MiiCoffee is selling the DF83V, so I decided to try it. Luke with MiiCoffee was incredibly responsive to my emails and overly needy requests- all of which made me more confident with buying the system with him. Needless to say, the DF83V has almost* no perceivable shortcomings. From the produced grind itself, to the absolute lack of retention, this thing is a beast. What's even more eye-opening is that I am tasting flavors from my coffee that I didn't know existed with the previous systems. The only two pieces of constructive feedback would be the sticker for the grind setting and the noise it makes when there is bean debris stuck in the system (it screeches a bit). The sticker should just be an etched marker (permanent) on the body somewhere. Why? Well the screw on cap that holds the burr set on likes to back off if it's not super tightly torqued, especially because the grind adjustment dial is very very stiff to turn. And if you tighten the screw cap down, the sticker is no longer aligned to the 12 o'clock (so you need to re-apply a new sticker). Thanks Luke- super happy with this thing. I'll leave you alone (for now, LOL)
