Great Value

This is my first espresso machine, and it took me about a week to get a decent shot due to the learning curve. The machine itself, however, is great. The PID makes maintaining temperature very easy, and it heats up very quickly (around 30 seconds or so). The included accessories (tamp, portafilter, etc.) are of decent quality; I replaced them, but they are perfectly usable if you don't want to replace them right away. The matte slate finish looks very nice.

The value for money of this machine is excellent. It has everything you need to pull a great espresso, whether you’re using a dark roast or a lighter roast. It’s very practical, heats up quickly, and the steam performance is great. Nothing to complain about. I imported it to Brazil and it arrived in an impressive 3 days via DHL Express.

Excellent for a beginner

I spent a few months watching Lance Hedrick and James Hoffman. Then considering a GCP and modding it but finally acknowledged I would never be able do it. I came to realize that I just needed a solid entry level machine with a PID. This is it! Although some parts like the drip tray are cheaply put together the rest of the machine is solid and great to use. The buttons are easy to use and program. Holds a lot of water so flushing the steam wand to get to the hot and consistent steam is no problem. Make sure you check the pressure using the blind back flush cap, I had to adjust mine to 9 bars from 12 bars. Let it warm up for 15 mins before use but I do not see that as a problem. It works very well for what I need.
