Warchal Amber Violin A String

High Quality

I play Irish and Cape Breton fiddle and like to think of myself as a student of the ART of fiddling. I tried the Warchal on the recommendation of a fellow fiddler after having used D'Addario Helicore and Dominants. Of course, all have their merits, but Warchal is my new preferred string because of its warmth, expressiveness, ability to break in quickly, and quick response, allowing me control in fast and difficult passages that I didn't have with the other strings. There are tradeoffs of course. The sound is not as bright or sustained as the Dominant or Helicore was, but I'm opting for sound quality over quantity at this point. If I were performing and needed to project without some sort of amplification, the Warchal might pose a slight problem. Overall great string.

I've note used a Warchal string before. This A string worked out well for me. A little brighter than I usually like but not bad at all.
