This E string is a powerful one. I have this E string on a Helicore heavy string set. If you are using strings that are on the bright, brilliant side of the tone spectrum, I would try this to match you string set. It is very clear and powerful and really rings out. It is prone to whistling if you''re not careful with your bowing. If you have a mellow or warm violin and want to wake it up, try this E string.
