Easy to Play, Great Sound

I mainly play fiddle music, irish but some old time, still learning but not a total beginner, so I thought using synthetic strings would be okay. I had been having trouble playing in tune and fast string crossings so another more advanced bluegrass player suggested I try steel strings. I never thought to do that because I had just been used to using synthetic. They suggested chromcor for a more warm tone, so that's what I ordered. Wow! I'm blown away by the incredible ease of tuning, instantly staying in tune, and being able to find the correct pitch of the notes. They are incredibly easy to play and fast fingerings and string crossing are much easier. They were totally settled in by the next day. I didn't much care for the E string on day one but by day two, it's perfect. Can't believe I never tried steel strings before. I think I'll stick with these and I usually order from various places but Fiddlershop has the fastest service of anywhere, so I'll order from them from now on. Thanks Fiddlershop!

Nice upgrade to Preludes

I really like these strings. I put them on my OB-1 to replace the stock strings. They give a much richer and clear sounds, and they're easier on the fingers. Highly recommend.
