Miles better than Dominants and alomst as good as tehe best custom gut strings

Since starting to play the violin Dominants have been my primary strings, probably as good as they get for the price. But twice now I have put a set of gut stings on my old german violin (100 years old) and you can really tell the difference. This week I tried Pirastro Gold and WOW WOW WOW! The sound coming from them is incredible. They vibrate more. They project more. THey sustain the sound more. I could spend more, but I play for personal enjoyment only. I've found a new every day string. Pirastro Gold.
