The bow is fine I had never used a carbon fiber bow before it has taken some time for the hair to work in not so with the pro series that I purchased. I use this one for a lot of my practice But the pro series is worth the money to me the hair is much better. thank you for asking

Exceptional

I'm sure it sounds a bit pretentious to describe a student bow as "exceptional" or give it five stars...but it deserves both. How so? Well, I bought 2 student bows prior to this one in an effort to save money on products that I didn't expect much from and I paid double the price of a Fiddlerman Carbon Fiber bow for bows that both sounded flat and were awkward to handle. With the Fiddlerman bow, I immediately got more resonance from my violin and the bow's light weight and balance made it easier to focus on cleaning up bow crossing mistakes, smoothing out long bows, and equalizing quick bows for fiddling. The aesthetics are pretty impressive, too. The darker winding, circle frog eye, and abalone laminate underneath the frog make the bow appear elegantly modern instead of cheap. Also, the B-stock imperfections aren't noticeable unless you're looking really hard for them. The only one I'm sure of is a 1/4 mm notch where the eye circle is incomplete. I've only made small purchases at Fiddlerman, but each one keeps impressing me. In addition, Charlie Baz, with Product Support, was very friendly, knowledgeable, candid, and accessible about all things bows and violin upgrades. With this level of support plus performance videos, I have no hesitation upgrading my violin through Fiddlerman when I'm ready.

Excellent customer service, great value

Good experience. Fiddlershop didn’t try to up sell me anything that I didn’t want or need. They took time to answer my questions. I’m a beginner, so I can’t give a very well informed review of the bow, but I will say that it looks nice , feels lighter and sounds better than the bow that I had. To my ear it sounds wonderful . Even my entry level instrument has a sweet sound that makes me want to play more. Fiddlershop is certainly my go to store for anything fiddle.
