Nice, Very Nice!

I got this and the replacement hex screws for the WR 5 1/2. I didn't use all of the screws, the slotted screw for the chip breaker. I carry a short slotted screwdriver in my apron, finding a hex key seemed like too much work, especially in my shop! Moving the throat is not done that often. The adjustar is so much easier than a knob. Do it! I feel you will not regret replacing the knob, or the screws.

Great Upgrade

The star adjuster is a great plane upgrade, perhaps the best. It makes fine tuning blade protrusion easy!

Did not expect that I would be impressed by such a minor addition to a plane. It really has made a large improvement, just wish it had been around 50 yrs ago when I first started using hand planes .
