For now I just fried an egg on it. It did add a whole new depth of flavor to the scrambled eggs. I am planning on baking with it, but I'm waiting for the weather to cool off. Can't have my oven working in already hot kitchen. I promise to update this review when I am done baking.

I was raised eating lard but have tried to change to olive oil thinking it might be better for me. I’ve never cared for the texture or the flavor. (Virgin olive oil tastes like something foul to me. ) And now you can’t buy olive oil that isn’t contaminated with canola oil ( read gmo-modified rapeseed oil -fit for car lubrication). So I have returned to lard. Only to find out that my store only carries lard with BHA in it!!!
Imagine my surprise when I found Fatworks on the internet. I ordered the leaf lard. Received it promptly. And have been very happy with my purchase. I’ll buy the gallon size next time. 😍

I used the leaf lard in my tamales, and the taste of the masa for the tamales was so good! I will definitely be buying it in the future for my tamales. It’s a little pricey, but definitely worth it.
