Rye Whiskey Barrel Aged Maple Syrup

Lovely hint of whiskey flavor.

The syrup is a nice dark syrup with notes of whiskey oak. It's just enough to add interest to the syrup without changing what it is. Sweet and perfect on French toast.

Flavoring is subtle but fantastic

Not a strong rye whiskey taste at the front of the mouth but definitely whiskey aroma and flavor as it finishes at the back of the mouth. A perfect mix...not overpowering but very apparent and welcomed addition. I am very much a maple syrup purist but this is a great combination. Now looking for other ways to use this as flavoring/sweetener. Mixed with butter for a final dressing on a steak.
