Solid machine, great cup of coffee, very small capacity drip tray.
We recently needed to replace a Saeco Gran Barista that had been in service for 13 years. Gaggia Accademia was highly recommended in many reviews. We were surprised to learn that Saeco has acquired Gaggia. Once we received the machine we recognized many of the internal design features as being Saeco. This machine makes fabulous coffee. The only complaint is that the puck container and drip tray need to be emptied about every 5 cups. We are constantly emptying the tray. On balance, this is a very nice machine and makes great coffee.

Fantastic machines
We have purchased a number of Gaggia superautomaticas, but this one is really extraordinary. While we have not tried any cleaning modes yet, the basic pattern of how to make and modify any of the coffee recipes is easy to learn and adapt. Switching from beans to ground is easy, and, for the first time, the milk pitcher is a dream. So far we have not needed to call for help, but it is always reassuring that the Whole Latte team that has given advice in the past is available if we need help. Ps. The only confusion we had was finding where the choice for ground beans was located—in the aroma selection, really?
