I've tried them all, this is the best Romano!
Firstly, I don't know why I ever wasted my time with any green beans that aren't Romanos. These are superior in size, taste and texture. I literally eat them raw, by the bagful.
I bought 6 varieties of Romano and this one won in taste and production. Long live Helda (sometimes spelled Hilda)!

Consistent, large & Prolific
I've grown these for several years. They're very tender, even when they get really large. Expect 6 to 8 inches. Reasonably hearty. Plants tend to produce over a long period of time and seem to handle a variety of summer conditions pretty well.
